Comparable to the popular Bernard & Huette manual of general surgery, with which it is contemporary, but dealing as fully with its subdivision as the former with the general subject, and slightly larger in format. Goffres was distinguished as a military surgeon and surgery professor. Hirsch (giving date as 1854). Waller 3621, with only 72 plates mentioned. Orr 802, 1866 reissue.
