First Edition. Brodeur, a native of Quebec, received his medical education in France, obtaining his doctorate in medicine with the present work on kidney surgery. He was the second French Canadian to receive his M.D. in Paris, and the first from that region to hold the position of House Surgeon of the Hospitals of Paris.
