Copy number 5 of the edition, limited to 200 numbered copies for sale signed by the artist, and 26 lettered copies hors de commerce. Printed on French mouldmade Lana Royale paper.

Brillat-Savarin’s work, published just before his death, is the most famous gastronomic essay ever written. This Arion Press edition is also the most significant book illustrated by Wayne Thiebaud, an American painter known for his colorful works depicting commonplace objects and objects of mass culture. Thiebaud is particularly famous for his paintings depicting food.
