Large folio work, 530 x 347 mm., in original cloth (a little worn). 8 double-page chromolithographed anatomical plates, plus title-page and list of plates. First published 1856. The titlepage states that the atlas is "accompanied by a handbook fully explaining the plates"; however, this handbook appears not to have been published. The authors were William Turner (1832-1916) and John Goodsir (1814-67), both of whom served as professors of anatomy at Edinburgh University. For Goodsir see Garrison-Morton 2294.1 and 2471.
